Meet Mike
My name is Micah Zimmerman, and my path to painting wasn't a straight line - and that's exactly what makes it worth telling. I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, but during the pandemic I discovered a passion for the craft when I started working alongside seasoned painting professionals in Madison, Wisconsin. Under mentors who built their reputations on professionalism, integrity, and genuine customer care, I learned that great painting isn't just technique - it's how you treat people's homes and the trust you earn along the way.
That foundation led me to co-found a residential painting company in Cleveland, Ohio, with my brother and a close friend. What started as a summer project grew into a trusted local operation with hundreds of homes transformed and a long list of happy clients. It showed me what's possible when you combine strong craftsmanship with real accountability.
San Diego drew me in for good reason - the coastal lifestyle, the communities, and frankly, the homes here deserve that same level of care. I launched Mike's Painting Co. in Pacific Beach to bring everything I've learned to a city I'm proud to call home.
